Dr. Erik Nelson, N.D.
Dr. Erik O. Nelson, ND has been treating patients since his 2017 graduation from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ.
Dr. Nelson enjoys helping patient achieve optimal health and performance. He uses a wide array of modalities to support patients including anti-aging medicine such as hormone replacement therapy, diet and nutrition counseling and mental and cognitive health optimization. He also enjoys working with athletes to help them achieve their performance goals on and off the field through the use of nutritional ergogenic aids, sports performance supplementation and personalized athletic diet and nutrition.
He has concurrently been serving as the Team Naturopathic Doctor for the Kingswood High School Athletics Department. While attending medical school Dr. Nelson was a core member of the research department at SCNM's Center for Integrative Naturopathic Research, and an external collaborator at Arizona State University's Biodesign Institute in the Department of Infectious Disease. He has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed articles about Sports Medicine, Virology, Botanical Medicine, Dermatology, Infectious Disease and Lyme disease.
Dr. Nelson utilizes the full scope of naturopathic medicine in clinical practice with an emphasis on Naturopathic Sports Medicine, Regenerative Injection Therapies, Trigger Point Injections, Nutrition and Diet Counseling, Nutritional Ergogenic Aids, Kinesiotaping, Botanical Medicine, Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy, and Lyme/Tick-borne Infections. Dr. Nelson enjoys coaching the KRHS Varsity Boys' soccer team in his “spare time.
